If you or your little ones love footy keep reading…Ryman has again partnered with the Ryman Isthmian Football League to organise an epic community day for kids across 35 sites across London, Essex , Kent, Surrey, Cambridgeshire and Sussex.
Children can pick up leaflets in their local participating schools for the opportunity to get FREE entry for them and an accompanying adult, a fun day out with the family and all for a great cause to support local football teams.
There is also a competition for the chance to win £250 worth of Ryman Goodies simply by writing a match report.
Encourage kids to write up a report of the match they have seen for Theo Paphitis to judge! The best match report chosen will have the chance to win £250 worth of Ryman’s product as well as their match report featured in the non- League paper.
Timings are tight so entrants will have to be super quick to enter. Email your match report of the Ryman League game on the 25th March by 7pm on Monday 27th March. All entries should be sent to [email protected] and contain no more than 180 words.
Top Tips on How to Write a Match Report
#1 Tell the story of the match and make the reader feel like they were really there
#2 Make sure you soak up the atmosphere of the match so you can describe this in your report
#3 Make sure you have everything you might need before you get to the match; Pens and Paper , Clipboard , Camera, Dictaphone
#4 Try and get the best view that you can from your seat – don’t miss the action!
#5 Relying on your memory alone can mean that crucial facts are forgotten. Make notes constantly during the matches and always include the most interesting points such as cards, fouls, goals and players skills.
Overall make sure you tell us which teams played, what you thought of your local team and the grounds atmosphere, your favourite players and the goal action details! Perfect motivation and experience for any children who want to get into sports writing or reporting.
Don’t forget to include pictures and anything else that you think will make your report stand out from the crowd!
