New Year’s Resolutions-Have You Kept Yours?

January 17/ Inspire

Most of us set sail into January full of grand plans of self-improvement, but as the month of January unfolds many find themselves on a sinking ship.

If you are struggling to keep your resolutions this year, don’t panic. Below are a few tips and tricks to keep you on board…

#1 Take Notice

Type and print your resolutions and inspirations and pin them on a noticeboard you will see every day. Having them in front of you will remind you of your goals and boost motivation to achieve them.

#2 Believe

Believe that you can, and you will is a motto to live by. You CAN do this and you WILL succeed should be your daily morning mantra!

#3 21 days to break…

Being a creature of habit, it’s difficult to change behaviours overnight. Give yourself a reasonable amount of time, and think about it logically. Breaking a habit really means starting a new one – you want to stop the habit of eating puddings every night so you need to form a new habit of NOT eating puddings every night! If you slip up and guzzle a tower of profiteroles on a particularly stressful Wednesday evening it’s not the end of the world. Acknowledge the mistake and keep going… before long you will be wondering what all of the fuss was about.

And remember life begins at the end of your comfort zone…
