Thinking Of You Week

September 23, 2016 / Inspire

Monday 26th September until Sunday 2nd October isn’t just any old autumn week: it’s Thinking of You Week and we at Ryman thought it was a great opportunity to delve into our stationery supplies and get crafty by making our own cards.

Thinking of You Week is a time when people are encouraged to show somebody – or several somebodies – that they are thinking of them. And how is this shown? Through a good old-fashioned homemade card of course!

If you’re anything like us then you might not be satisfied with simply buying a card. We think that making a card really shows that you’ve gone that extra mile to show someone that you care. It’s also a great excuse to get covered in glue and glitter!

As luck would have it, the Ryman office has easy access to a whole host of stationery items and crafty bits and bobs that are integral to the creative card-making process. And we’re not just talking card and pens; we’re talking glitter, stickers, stencils, tissue paper and balloons (though admittedly, we did make these from card).

So, with all this in mind, we thought that a great challenge for the Ryman Team, would be to make a different card for every day of the Thinking of You Week. And, what’s more, we thought we’d like to share them with you.

We’ve taken a selection of products from our Arts and Crafts Range and we’ve gone arts and crafts mad.

On each day of Thinking of You Week, we’ll be revealing our card for the day – each made by a member of staff - along with the products we used to make it. We hope that you’ll get inspired and start crafting yourself because we’re sure there are few (if any) activities that are more fun, therapeutic and useful for procrastinating, than card-making.

It’s also, a great way to show someone that you’re thinking of them (we hadn’t forgotten the point of the week entirely!).

So, keep your eyes peeled across our Facebook and Twitter pages to see what the Ryman Team has come up with for every day of Thinking of You Week. And if you’ve got your own work to show off, we’d love to see it!
