National Diary Week Guest Post 2014

November 0, 2014 / Read

Today's post comes from one of our amazing guest bloggers - Sachiko from Filofax Love Blog She talks about getting her planner ready for National Diary Week….

I can’t believe it’s already November and Christmas is just around the corner!

I’m sure a lot of people have started getting their planners ready for 2015 and I’m no exception.

I was planning to continue using the same Filofax organiser in 2015 but I accidentally came across a beautiful leather Filofax which was on a massive reduction on Ryman’s website last week and I just had to get it for myself.

It’s National Diary Week so this would be a great opportunity to show you what's inside my Filofax and encourage people to use a paper organiser!

So I’ll show you what’s inside my Filofax…

My Filofax has 8 sections:

To keep all my schedules I use the Monthly calendar to view the entire month the Weekly calendar to check important events for a week and the Daily pages to write to-dos and short diary for each day.

I use the official Filofax Week on Two Pages but I make my own Monthly calendar pages and cut some pink paper to make Daily pages.

As you can see in the photos below I copied and shrank all of the reference charts and other documents I need for my online shop so I don't need to carry all the original documents with me. Password pages are really useful but I recommend you write your passwords in a way that other people can't understand them for added security.

It's a dark and cold season now so I wanted to create some bright and cheerful dividers and page markers for my 8 sections.

After sketching my ideas on paper I drew them on Photoshop:

Ta-da! Here are the cake dividers I made! These yummy looking dividers really cheer me up every time I open my Filofax. I also made 3 page markers for Daily Weekly and Monthly sections.

I'll take my Filofax everywhere I go so I can access all the information I need when I'm out and about.

I have a smart phone as well but everything I need is in my Filofax not in my phone. I like to keep things organized physically not digitally because it's safer, easier and fun to access!

I hope you enjoyed reading this post!
