These terms and conditions apply to the use of this website and our app(s) and by downloading, using, accessing, browsing, registering or placing an order you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below. We recommend that you print a copy of them for your future reference. If you do not agree to be bound by the terms set out below then you may not use this website or app(s). We reserve the right to:

a) Modify or withdraw (either temporarily or permanently) the website with or without providing prior notice to you and we shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification or withdrawal of the website or app(s).

b) Change these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes that are made will take effect from the date that is indicated at the top of this page and it is your responsibility to ensure that you have read the most up to date version each and every time you use the website or app(s). Ryman Limited shall not be liable to any person for any loss or damage, which may arise from the use of any of the information contained in any of the materials used in this website. All rights, including copyright, in this website are owned or licensed to Ryman Limited.

You may use, download and print content on the website solely for your own personal use or internal business purposes. Other than for your own personal use or internal business purposes, you may not without our prior written consent:

  • copy, reproduce, use or otherwise deal with any content on the website;
  • modify, distribute or re-post any content on the website for any purpose;
  • reproduce, crawl, frame, link to or deep-link into this website on or from any other website;

Use of the Mobile App

You must only use this mobile app for lawful purposes, and you must not use it in a way that infringes the rights of anyone else or that restricts or inhibits anyone else’s enjoyment of the mobile app. If you are purchasing on behalf of a business then you must have the required authority to do so.

Ryman Limited shall not be liable to any person for any loss or damage, which may arise from the use of any of the information contained in any of the materials used in this mobile app. All rights, including copyright, in this mobile app are owned or licensed to Ryman Limited.

By using our service you consent to the collection and use of your personal data, such as your name, email address, physical address, and photographs as described in our app privacy policy.

Inline with our Privacy Policy, collected data can be used for a variety of purposes. Notwithstanding, Photos are limited to the process of creating your personalised greeting cards, at your request. All printing services are fulfilled by Ryman internally, and we do not use or share your photos for any other purposes.

We may collect information about the device you are using to access our app, including but not limited to the type of device, operating system, device settings, unique device identifiers, and crash data. The information collected will help us to troubleshoot issues, improve the performance of our app, and enhance customer experience.

All personal data is stored securely, with restricted access, on our servers located within the United Kingdom/EEA. We employ industry-standard security measures to protect your data from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Data Retention, specifically photos uploaded to generate personalised greeting cards, for non-registered customers your photos / the printed output file remains within the solution for a period of 90 days following the fulfilment of your order, this is to allow us to handle any customer services enquiries. For registered customers your photos / the printed output file remains within the solution for a period of 12 months following the fulfilment of your order. This is to allow additional editing and / or further prints to be generated at your request.

In the event that an account deletion occurs all data including photos and output files will be permanently deleted.

For optimal functionality, our app may request access to your device's camera and photos. Access to camera and photos is needed to allow images to be captured or photos uploaded within the app for the purpose of personalising greeting cards.

You may grant or revoke these permissions at any time through your device settings. Your use of these features and services is entirely voluntary and governed by our Privacy Policy.

Our app provides a feature (greeting card personalisation) via an first-party integrated solution, which is delivered through a web page within the app (via WebKit). This solution is hosted on our servers, in our data centre and managed by Ryman. During your interaction with this feature, Personal Identifiable Information (PII) may be passed to the first-party solution to enhance your user experience. Your use and access to this feature are governed by our Privacy Policy.

The main app does not use cookies. However, when accessing a feature (greeting card personalisation) via a first-party integrated solution, which is delivered through a web page within the app (via WebKit) necessary cookies will be used to ensure functionality and enhance your user experience. These cookies are only activated within this integrated feature and are not used or activated elsewhere in our app. For more information about how these cookies are used, and the data they collect, please refer to our Cookie Policy.

Any updates or amendments to this policy will be communicated to you through our standard notification process for registered website users. Upon registering within the app, you will automatically have an account on our website, and will receive notifications about policy updates through the established channels associated with website account holders.

You warrant that any personal or business information you provide to us during the registration process is current, true and accurate in all aspects and that you will notify us of any changes to your personal information by using the My Account section of the mobile app, or by calling our Customer Services Team on 0333 103 0901, Monday to Friday from 9am to 5.30pm.

Description of Products

We take all reasonable efforts to ensure that the product information as detailed on the website is accurate, fair and current. This includes Specific Conditions relating to the product including but not limited to: related Terms and Conditions, estimated delivery dates and times, warranties and guarantees.

However, although we aim to keep the product information as up to date as possible, it may be the case that at the point that the order is placed, some element of the product information may not exactly reflect the details of the actual product:

  • The actual price of the product can only be confirmed once the order has been accepted, according to our order acceptance policy
  • The product packaging may vary from the product images on the website
  • The weights and product dimensions given are approximate only
  • The key features and product attributes are based on information provided to us by the manufacturer and these may vary
  • Whilst we try to show the accurate colour of the product on the website, differences in computer screens and monitors may mean the actual colour of the product that you receive will differ from how you see it on the website. NB - Colour swatches on the product details page are used as functions to change product colours only and do not represent the actual or implied colour of the products.
  • The stock position of the product as shown on the website is a guide only and the available stock position will only be confirmed at the point that the order is accepted. Store stock is a guide only so please contact your nearest store before visiting.

In any circumstance where the actual product information varies from that displayed on the website, we reserve the right not to accept the order.

Product Pricing

Ryman is a multi channel retailer and operates a best practice pricing strategy that attempts to ensure the consistency of pricing between its various sales channels.

However, it may be the case that a product or promotion that is available in one sales channel is not available in all other sales channels.

Bulk pricing (where a product is offered at a lower unit price when purchased in volume) is available on certain products on both the website and through the telesales team but is not currently available through the stores or through the in store ordering facility.

Product Pricing on the website can be displayed including VAT or Excluding VAT. However, the full price of the order will include VAT plus any additional delivery and packaging costs, where applicable.

Some products may be exempt from additional discount and this will be indicated on the product to advise also our star buys exclude additional discount as we are offering you the best price possible.

Purchase of Goods

Placing an order on the Ryman website does not constitute a contract between you and us. The order is only confirmed once we have notified you that the order has been invoiced and despatched.

For the avoidance of doubt, any such contract between you and Ryman , will be deemed to have been concluded in the United Kingdom. Further, any such contract will be interpreted, construed and enforced in all respects in accordance with the laws of England, and you and Ryman Limited irrevocably agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.

The order process is as follows:

  • Goods that are stocked in our main warehouse are then collected by our selected carrier and sent for dispatch according to our Delivery Options.
  • Goods that are being delivered directly from our suppliers (usually furniture or larger machines) can take a little longer to be shipped. You will be contacted by them directly to arrange delivery. Please see the Direct from Supplier section in the Delivery Options section above.
  • Clicking on the ‘Make Payment’ button in the payment screen of the checkout process will submit the order for payment.
  • You may be required to enter some additional payment verification details from your credit card provider before the order is submitted to us.
  • Once you see the order confirmation page, you will then receive an email acknowledgement confirming the details of each product in your order. This is not a confirmation that the order has been accepted or processed.
  • Once the goods are picked and packed and ready for despatch, a contract between you and us is in place at this point.

If for any reason, there is a problem in processing the order then we will notify you via email or telephone of the circumstances of why it could not be fulfilled. This could be for one of the following reasons:

  • 1. There was an error in how the product was described or priced on the website
  • 2. One of the products in the order is currently out of stock
  • 3. We are unable to take full payment for your order
  • 4. You did not fulfil your obligations as set out under these terms and conditions
  • 5. Stamps need to be purchased with another item with a minimum value of £5
  • 6. If the item you are purchasing is a bladed item it has the following rules:- Under the Offensive Weapons Act 1996 it is an offence to sell knives, knife blades, or any other product that may be perceived as an offensive weapon, to persons under the age of 18. Please be aware Ryman will verify your age before dispatching your order, products on the website can only be delivered to one of our stores where you will be required to provide proof of age when collecting your order.
  • 7. Some items may have a limit to the quantity you are able to purchase, and some can only be delivered to the address your payment method is registered to.

Cancelling your order

If you enter a Contract with Ryman as a consumer, you are entitled to cancel the Contract at any time within fourteen (14) working days, beginning on the day after you received the Products. You have this right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations June 2014 and you will receive a full refund of the price paid for the Products in accordance with our Delivery & Returns Policies.
To exercise the right of cancellation, you must inform us by using our contact form or you can download and use the model cancellation form.
Ryman reserves the right cancel orders at our discretion. If we cancel an order, it will be without charge to you.

Please see our Returns and Refunds policy on the circumstances as to how and when you can cancel your order.

Please note that when you agree to these website terms, you shall be deemed to have understood and agreed to our Returns and Refunds policy in its entirety.

Exceptions apply to orders for personalised products which cannot be cancelled by you once your order has been received, as these products are tailored for you and may already be in production as a result of your order.

Methods of Payment

At the present time, payment can be made using credit/debit cards or through a Ryman Business Account.

Cheques are not acceptable as a payment method for orders taken on the website. Cheques are accepted for orders taken over the phone but the funds must have cleared before the order will be shipped. Your cheques should be made payable to Ryman Limited and then sent to Ryman Direct, Savoy House, Savoy Road, Crewe, Cheshire CW1 6NA.

You are able to pay for your goods using all major credit and debit cards (Mastercard, Visa, Delta, Switch, Solo, American Express and Diners Club International). Secure servers offer Ryman customers the highest level of security when entering credit card details over the Internet

All credit/debit card purchases are subject to the normal validation checks and authorisation procedures adopted by the card issuer. In addition we have additional Credit Card Fraud Prevention measures to protect you. Any refusal by the issuer of any payment card to authorise the payment to us, for any reason, will not render Ryman liable for any delay or non-delivery.

In cooperation with Klarna Financial Services UK Limited (publ), Sveavägen 46, 111 34 Stockholm, Sweden, we offer you the following payment options. Payment is to be made to Klarna: Pay in 3 installments, Pay Later and Pay Now.

Your personal data is handled in accordance with applicable data protection law and in accordance with the information in Klarnas privacy policy

We offer two ways to pay for your order using your PayPal account. On certain products, or for orders over £30, you will be offered the PayPal pay in 3 option. You can also pay for your order in one payment using your PayPal account. If PayPal refuses to authorise payment or we do not at our complete discretion find our anti-fraud checks to be satisfactory, we will not accept your order, we will not be obliged to inform you of the reason for the refusal, and we will not be liable for non-delivery.

Ryman Gift Cards

Ryman Gift Cards can be exchanged for goods in all Ryman Stores, but can not be used online or over the telephone.

Promotional Discounts

Coupons, discounts and promotional discount codes offered by Ryman Online are only for use on the Ryman.co.uk website, unless otherwise stated. These types of promotional discounts are not valid for use against the purchase of goods in the Ryman Stores or over the telephone.

All promotions are subject to availability and Ryman reserve the right to withdraw all promotions at any time. Some promotions may not combine with other promotions on site, and if so, the best offer will be applied to your order.

Tiered Discounts
Discount given when offer requirements are met. Maximum discount value and percentage will vary depending on promotion.

Was/Now Pricing
Discount automatically applied to products as shown on product pages. In some instances, Was/Now pricing may stack with an offer code, however this is dependent on promotion.

Free Gifts
Gift(s) automatically added to basket when offer requirements are met. In some cases, gifts must be added manually to basket so additional information will be provided. Promotion is subject to available stock.

Free Delivery
Applied at checkout, discount will equal specific country delivery costs. Shipping to other countries may still incur a charge.

Multi-Buy
Discount applies to the cheapest in-basket item that meets the promotional requirements. This offer applies only to qualifying items listed in the Multibuy area of this Website.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects your statutory rights.

All disclaimers and exclusions included in these terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law. Should any provision of these disclaimers and exclusions be deemed to be unlawful, void or for any other reason unenforceable, then that provision will be deemed to be severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.

Missing, Incomplete or Damaged Orders

If your order hasn't arrived, or arrives incomplete, you must report it to us within 48 hours. Please contact our Customer Services team on 0333 103 0901 or use our contact form and have your order number to hand.

If you have more than one item on your order, please bear in mind that products may be sent out from multiple locations and so arrive separately. However, if this is not the case and you have not received the entire order as detailed in the order confirmation email sent to you, please call our Customer Services team on 0333 103 0901 with your order number to hand or use our contact form quoting your order number.

If contacting our Customer Services team via our online form contained within the “Contact us” section on our website, Ryman assumes no responsibility or liability for any errors or omissions within the content you submit to us via this form. Business Discount Card, Education Discount Card and #SBS Winners Discount Card Terms and Conditions

Business Discount Card

Card holders registered after December 2022.

In these Terms & Conditions “the Company” means Ryman Limited and “the Customer” means any UK based business placing an order for Goods with the Company. “Card” or “Card(s)” means the Ryman Business Discount Card. “Goods” means any items supplied by the Company in respect of an order placed on and accepted by the Company pursuant to the Ryman Website, Ryman Telephone Sales Team or Goods from a Ryman Store and apply (save to the extent varied in writing by a director or other authorised person of the Company) to the exclusion of any conditions of purchase which the Customer seeks to impose. The Company is under no liability in respect of a Customer’s order until specifically accepted.

1. Application
a. Any authorised officer of a UK based business may apply on behalf of that business for a Ryman Discount Card. b. Applications can only be made by completing a Ryman Business Discount Card application form. c. On request the Company will issue the Customer with Cards for each employee, partner or director nominated by the Customer and accepted by the Company. d. It is the responsibility of the Customer to notify the Company of any employee, partner or director that leaves the business who has a Card. All Cards should be returned to the Company, or alternatively the Customer can state in writing that they are responsible for ensuring the Card(s) are destroyed. The Company will not be liable for any Card used by an employee, partner or director after he/she has left the business if the Company has not been notified, or for any mis-use or unauthorised use of a Card by any nominated employee, partner or director, and any Goods ordered by a nominated employee, partner or director will be deemed to have been authorised by the Customer.

2. Ryman Business Discount Card
a. Customer will only receive a discount on goods purchased in-store upon production of a valid Ryman Business Discount Card. b. Ryman Business Discount Cards remain the property of the Company and the Customer must ensure that they return to the Company all Cards issued immediately upon request. c. The Company reserves the right to charge a £5 administration fee for any replacement Cards it issues.

3. Exclusions
a. Any Ryman Business discount offer excludes: Gift Vouchers; EPAY Products; Post Office Products; Services; Kindles, Tablets; eReaders; Printers; Hard Drives; Smartphones; Internet Security & Microsoft Office Products; Cameras; Red Letter Days; Apple Products; Bluetooth Audio; iTunes Gift Cards; DAB Radios; Charity Products and where products state they are not eligible for discount. Cannot be used in conjunction with Student and IN KIND discount. b. Ryman Discount Cards can be used in-store only and discount cannot be used online.

4. Liability
No liability will be accepted by the Company if a) for any reason the Customer is unable to use the Card or b) the Company is unable (directly or indirectly) to comply with its obligations under these Terms and Conditions due to any cause beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to, industrial action, data processing or transmission link failure.

5. Miscellaneous
a. Any error or omission in any quotation, catalogue, sales literature, invoice or other document issued by the Company shall be subject to correction by the Company without liability. b. All orders placed by a Customer and any contract resulting from acceptance thereof by the Company shall be subject to English law and the Customer agrees to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdictions of the English courts. c. The Company reserves the right to amend any of the Ryman for Discount Card Terms and Conditions or withdraw the Ryman for Business Card scheme at any time without prior notice to the Customer.

Ryman Education Discount Card

In these Terms & Conditions “the Company” means Ryman Limited and “the Customer” means any UK based education employee or education establishment placing an order for Goods with the Company. “Card” or “Card(s)” means the Ryman Education Discount Card. “Goods” means any items supplied by the Company in respect of an order placed on and accepted by the Company pursuant to the Ryman Website, Ryman Telephone Sales Team or Goods from a Ryman Store and apply (save to the extent varied in writing by a director or other authorised person of the Company) to the exclusion of any conditions of purchase which the Customer seeks to impose. The Company is under no liability in respect of a Customer’s order until specifically accepted.

1. Application
a. Any employee of a UK based education establishment may apply for a Ryman Education Discount Card. b. Applications can only be made by completing a Ryman Education Discount Card application form. c. On request the Company will issue the Customer with a Card, once the application is accepted by the Company. d. It is the responsibility of the Customer to notify the Company if they leave the employment of an education establishment or to supply the Company with updated employment details, if still working within the education sector. Should the customer leave employment in the education sector Cards should be returned to the Company, or alternatively the Customer can state in writing that they accept responsibility to ensure the Card(s) are destroyed. The Company will not be liable for any Card used by an employee after he/she has left the employment of an education establishment, if the Company has not been notified, or for any misuse or unauthorised use of a Card.

2. Ryman Education Discount Card
a. Customer will only receive a discount on goods purchased in store upon production of a valid Ryman Education Discount Card. b. Ryman Education Discount Cards remain the property of the Company and the Customer must ensure that they return to the Company all Cards issued immediately upon request. c. The Company reserves the right to charge a £5 administration fee for any replacement Cards it issues.

3. Online Benefits
To enjoy the benefits of the Ryman Education Card online you will need enter your unique online discount code at the checkout. This can be found on the back of your Discount Card.

4. Order

a. All orders placed by a Customer and any contract resulting from acceptance thereof by the Company shall be subject to English law and the Customer agrees to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdictions of the English courts. c. Business Account Card

1. Application
- Any authorised officer of a UK based business may apply on behalf of that business for a Ryman Business Account. - Applications can only be made by completing a Ryman Business Account application form available on-line and in store on request. - A third party credit referencing agency will be used in the processing of this application form. - Where necessary the Company will ask the Customer to provide additional referencing information to support their application, e.g. trade and/or bank reference information. - If the application is successful the Company will issue the Customer with a Business Account. Business Account Cards are available to the Customer to facilitate an in-store purchase, upon request. Card(s) can be issued to an employee, Partner or Director nominated by the Customer and accepted by the Company. - It is the responsibility of the Customer to notify the Company of any employee, Partner or Director that leaves the business who has a Card. All Cards should be returned to the Company, or alternatively the Customer can state in writing that they are responsible for ensuring the Card(s) are destroyed. The Company will not be liable for any Card used by an employee, Partner or Director after he/she has left the Customer’s business if the Company has not been notified, or for any mis-use or unauthorised use of a Card by any nominated employee, Partner or Director, and any Goods ordered by a nominated employee, Partner or Director will be deemed to have been authorised by the Customer. - If an application for a Business Account is not accepted for any reason a Business Network Card may be sent in its place.

2. Credit Limit
- Credit limits will be set by the Company. - The Company reserves the right to amend credit limits from time to time. - The Company reserves the right at its discretion to accept, refuse, increase or restrict credit at any time.

3. Business Account Card Use
- The Card(s) must be signed immediately upon receipt by the person named on the Card. - The Card(s) must be activated before use, by contacting the Ryman Business Accounts Team. - Goods can only be purchased in store upon production of a valid Card. - Purchases over £200 require further identification in addition to the Card. Acceptable identification includes drivers license, debit card, credit card or passport. - All purchases must be signed for. - Stolen or lost Cards must be reported to the Ryman Business Accounts Team immediately. Any Goods purchased up to the point of notification will be charged to the Customer’s account. - Cards remain the property of the Company and the Customer must ensure that they return to the Company all Cards issued immediately upon request. - The Company reserves the right to charge a £5 administration fee for any replacement Cards it issues. - Provided the Customer settles any outstanding balance, and returns all Cards issued or the Company is provided evidence that the Card(s) are destroyed, the Customer can close their account at any time. The Company reserves the right to close the Customer’s account at any time by giving the Customer notice in writing.

4. Invoicing & Payment Terms
- A delivery note will be issued at point of purchase. A subsequent VAT invoice will be issued to the Customer in accordance with the billing terms agreed. - Standard payment terms are 30 days from the date of invoice. - Subject to approval by the Company, the Customer may elect to receive consolidated monthly invoices. [Additional terms and conditions will apply.] - Any invoice dispute or query must be notified to the Company within seven days of the date of invoice. There is no right to withhold part or full payment against any disputed invoice, which must be paid in accordance with the agreed payment terms. - Any invoice dispute or query must be notified to the Company within seven days of the date of invoice. - The Company reserves the right to charge interest at 5% above the Bank of England base rate on the date the debt becomes overdue and at any subsequent rate where the base rate changes and the debt remains unpaid in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 as amended and supplemented by the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Regulations 2002. The Company reserves the right to suspend or close the account at any time. - The Company reserves the right to charge a late payment fee, of £40 against overdue accounts to cover administration costs. - The Company reserves the right to restrict the supply of goods until such time the account is up to date and within agreed terms.

7. Retention of Title
- Title and property of the Goods, including full legal and beneficial ownership, shall not pass to the Customer until the Company has received in cash or cleared funds payment in full for all Goods delivered to the Customer under this contract between the Company and the Customer. Payment of the full price of the Goods shall include the amount of any interest or other sum payable under the terms of this contract between the Company and the Customer under which the Goods were delivered. - The Company may at any time by giving prior notice to the Customer enter the Customer’s premises and/or other premises where the Customer stores the Goods for the purpose of inspecting the Goods and identifying them as the Company’s property and the Customer irrevocably authorises the Company to enter upon those premises for that purpose. - In the event that either the Customer becomes insolvent, commits any act of bankruptcy, causes a meeting of or makes any arrangements or composition with its creditors, or if there is a petition presented for the winding up of the Customer or for the appointment of an administrator of its undertaking or if the Customer has an administrator or administrative receiver appointed over any of its assets or undertaking or a winding up order is made against it or it goes into voluntary liquidation, the Customer shall place all the Goods in its possession or under its control at the Company’s disposal and shall be deemed to irrevocably authorise the Company to enter upon any of its premises, and/or any other premises where the Goods are stored, with or without vehicles, for the purpose or removing such Goods. - The Customer will hold in trust for the Company any proceeds from the sale of Goods and shall not pay them into any overdrawn bank accounts, or allow them to be charged, and shall in any event keep them separate from all other of the Customer’s assets and clearly identified as being the property of the Company.

8. Liability
- No liability will be accepted by the Company if a) for any reason the Customer is unable to use the Business Account or b) the Company is unable (directly or indirectly) to comply with its obligations under these Terms and Conditions due to any cause beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to, industrial action, data processing or transmission link failure, act of God (such as, but not limited to, fires, explosions, floods); riot, commotion, strikes, go slows, lock outs or disorder, acts or threats of terrorism.

Your data may also be disclosed where permitted by law or where you have given your consent. You may be contacted by mail, telephone, email or other reasonable methods with details of products or services offered by ourselves. How do I place my order?
When you place an order by telephone you will receive an email when goods are ready for despatch. When placing an order online you will first receive an email acknowledgement confirming the details of each product in your order. Once the goods are picked and packed and ready for despatch, we will then process the payment and notify you with an email confirming that the order has been processed.
