The Benefits of Cleaning

Let’s be honest, for the majority, cleaning is a chore that we don’t enjoy.
We all have those tasks around the house that we dread doing, whether that be the washing up or hoovering. However research shows that a clear clean space is a clear mind.

Cleaning and Mental Health

JosephJoseph conducted a study and they’ve confirmed that 91% of the participants felt a positive impact on their wellbeing from cleaning. So much so that 45% said they’d rather clean themselves than hire someone to do it for them!

Clutter and mess is linked to negative emotions, for example irritability, anxiety and depression. By reducing your clutter, you’re able to take control of your environment and create a more relaxing space. This will help you focus better and be more productive!

Cleaning and Physical Health

Not only does cleaning have a positive impact on mental health, it also improves your physical health. By cleaning your home, it can reduce allergy symptoms and remove potentially harmful bacteria. Homes with pets will most likely attract more species of bacteria and require more frequent cleaning.

Cleaning also contributes to physical activity. From sweeping a broom to stretching to reach a cobweb - you’re working out.  Why not pop on a playlist and get your blood flowing!
