What bike size do I need?
To know your correct bike size, you’ll need to know your height and the length of your inside leg. Based on this, we recommend the following:
- Bike frame size: (height, inside leg length)
- 15 inch/XS: (5 foot 0, 28 inches)
- 16 inch/Small: (5 foot 3, 29.5 inches)
- 17 inch/Medium: (5 foot 7, 31 inches)
- 18 inch/Medium: (5 foot 9, 32.5 inches)
- 19 inch/Large: (5 foot 11, 33.5 inches)
- 20 inch/Large: (6 foot 2, 35 inches)
- 21 inch/XL: (6 foot 5, 36.5 inches)
If you are in between sizes, you’ll need to calculate your APE index. This is a measure of your reach, which can affect the size of bike you need. To calculate, measure the size of your arm span and then take away your height. If the remaining number is positive you should go for a size up, or if it is negative then go for a size down.
