Ergonomic mice are designed to reduce the risk of getting a repetitive strain injury (RSI) form using computer accessories day in day out. Sometimes this can manifest as pain or numbness, but it may also simply be stiffness in your joints. So if you find yourself needing to roll your wrists throughout the day, an ergonomic mouse could help you.

The main difference between an ergonomic computer mouse and a regular computer mouse is the grip needed to use them and, as a result, the position of the bones and muscles in your forearm. Traditional computer mice cause the arm to twist during use which causes muscle tension and can lead to fatigue, whereas an ergonomic mouse opts to keep the arm in a vertical position and avoids twisting altogether.

This makes ergonimic mice easier and more comfortable to use for longer periods of time, as you get fewer aches and pains as well as avoiding paresthesia (pins and needles).

We have both wired and wireless ergonomic mice available, and it's completely down to your preference whic one to go for. If you're intending to use your mouse for gaming, we'd usually recommend choosing a wired ergonomic mouse to ensure you don't suffer from any poorly timed lag or connectivity issues.
