Halloween Decorations: Make your own Ghost Bunting

October 10, 2018 / Inspire

This Halloween, we’re making bunting uncharacteristically scary – well, sort of. These homemade Halloween decorations are easy to make, look great strung up over a fireplace and are just a little spooky!

Follow our step-by-step guide to make your very own ghostly bunting this Halloween.

Step 1: Supplies

To make your Halloween bunting, you’ll need the following: cotton wool balls, white and orange tissue paper (£1.49), glue (£1.99) scissors, a black marker pen (£2.89) and thread (we use Ryman Gold £1.29 thread to be a little extra festive)

Step 2

Cut a square out of the tissue paper.

Step 3

Take a cotton wool ball and cover it in glue. This will be the head of your ghost.

Step 4

Place the cotton wool ball on the centre of your square piece of tissue paper.

Step 5

Scrunch the tissue paper around the cotton wool head so that the ends of the paper fan out.

Step 6

Draw eyes and a mouth onto your ghost using your black marker pen.

Step 7

Repeat this process several times alternately using white and orange tissue paper. Then take your gold cord and tie it around each ghost head, leaving enough cord either side to allow you to hang the bunting in whichever scary place you choose!

Top Tip: Give your ghosts a bit of personality, by giving some smiles and some more ghoulish expressions!
